- Lupe Fiasco Is “Waitng” On Atlantic Records To Come Out With New Album. According to Lupe Fiasco, “The ‘Lupe [Fiasco's Food & Liquor II]‘ album is [coming out] hopefully. It’s not on me,” he tells the The BoomBox. “It’s not done yet. I’m waiting on my record company, ain’t nothing changed. Same business, it’s on them.” In the meantime (while he is waiting), he is gearing up to go on tour in Austrailia in April.

- Cee Lo Green Upsets John Lennon Fans. During a recent performance on NBC’s New Year’s Eve broadcast from Times Squre, Cee Lo Green sung his own version of John Lennon’s “Imagine”. This probably wasn’t a good idea! He changed a couple of lines from “nothing to kill or die for/ and no religion too” as Lennon wrote, to “nothing to kill or die for/ and all religion’s true.” Lennon fans were not happy about this and took to their Twitter.

Album Review: T.I. – F**k Da City Up (Mixtape)
Post-prison T.I. has been a single man demolition machine, relentlessly annihilating guest appearances left and right. However, tackling your own project is always a whole different beast than loaning out a quick 16. T.I.’s hit single, “I’m Flexin’,” dropped to mixed reception a while back and was quickly washed away with the aforementioned burst of lethal mercenary work.
On the heels of the new year, Clifford is starting fresh with his F**k Da City Up mixtape. His rising momentum over the last couple months is looking to continue and build more steam and accordingly the title track leaked yesterday, featuring fellow ATLien, Young Jeezy. The song is definitely more along the lines of what fans expected from the duo’s collaboration (unlike “F.A.M.E.”), and, if it’s any indication of what’s to come, we can begin to expect great things again from the king.
The final track of the album “Popped Off” features the legendary Dr. Dre, and honestly is the best track on the album. What can you expect when you involve someone on Dre’s level? Look what he’s produced in the past if you doubt me.
T.I.’s not going anywhere. Like it or not.
